Love and the Packers have agreed to terms on a four-year extension worth $220 million, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The deal will make Love the highest-paid quarterback in NFL history after just one full season as Green Bay's starting quarterback. It also includes a record $75 million signing bonus, plus $155 million in new full guarantees, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. The team's star signal-caller has been at training camp but sitting out of practice until a deal was finalized. He will now presumably return to the field and continue building a rapport with his young and increasingly deep wide receiver unit.
