Mays did not return to Sunday's 26-0 loss to the Jaguars after sustaining a finger injury, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Nash Jensen took over for Mays when the latter left the game. His status for the Panthers' regular season finale against the Buccaneers will depend on his practice participation throughout the week.
