Pineiro has a hamstring injury and is questionable to return to Saturday's preseason game against the Bills, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Pineiro is the only kicker on Carolina's roster after the team waived undrafted rookie Harrison Mevis on Aug. 11. Pineiro signed a two-year, $4.1-million deal with the team before last season and went on to make 25 of 29 field-goal attempts and 17 of 20 PAT tries.
