Hartsfield will require surgery after injuring his wrist during Sunday's win over the Jets, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The surgery is not expected to knock Hartsfield out for the season, and he is considered week-to-week. The 24-year-old recorded two tackles and one pass defensed during the season opener. He appeared in all 16 games for the Panthers as a rookie and started to see more defensive snaps towards the end of the season.
