The Panthers are elevating Melvin from the practice squad for Thursday's contest against the Texans, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Melvin has now reached the two-time season limit for standard elevations from the practice squad, meaning the Panthers will have to sign him to the 53-man roster if he's to log any more appearances.
