Maye completed two of three passes for 19 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in the Patriots' 17-3 preseason win over the Panthers on Thursday.

Maye followed Jacoby Brissett into the game, and like his veteran teammate, the rookie third overall pick was only in for one series. However, Maye was able to put together a serviceable line relative to his brief time in the game, initially connecting on a 13-yard screen pass to Antonio Gibson before hitting Gibson's backfield mate Kevin Harris for another six yards. That leaves Maye still searching for his first completion to a wide receiver or tight end, a matter he should have ample chance to rectify during the Patriots' second preseason game next Thursday night against the Eagles.
