Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels noted Wednesday that both Garoppolo and Tom Brady -- who is suspended for the first four weeks of the season -- will "get plenty of reps" in training camp, WEEI.com reports.
Rookie Jacoby Brissett will also see his share of reps, but NFL.com relays that coach Bill Belichick has made it clear that the team's priority is to get Garoppolo "ready for the start of the season, the Arizona game" in Week 1. Meanwhile Belichick reiterated Wednesday what has been assumed; "Tom (Brady) will return as the starting quarterback when he comes back, but in the meantime we can prioritize the first part of our schedule." Thus, barring an injury, Garoppolo is in line to play against the Cardinals, Dolphins, Texans and Bills out of the gate this coming season, while Brady will return to action on Oct. 9 against the Browns.
