Raiders' Jimmy Garoppolo: Slated to practice fully
Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels said that Garoppolo is in "the final stages" of the NFL's concussion protocol and will be a full practice participant Thursday, Levi Edwards of the Raiders' official site reports.
Garoppolo sat out this past Sunday's loss to the Chargers after he wasn't able to clear the protocol seven days after suffering the brain injury in the Raiders' Week 3 loss to the Steelers. The veteran quarterback looks to be trending toward a return to action Week 5, however, as his ability to take part in the entire practice Thursday bodes well for his chances of gaining clearance for Monday's game against the Packers in the absence of any setbacks. Garoppolo logged limited practices last Thursday and Friday before ultimately sitting out against the Chargers, enabling rookie Aidan O'Connell to pick up his first NFL start.
