Allen was claimed off of waivers by the Rams on Monday, Mike Garafolo of NFL.com reports.
Allen spent training camp with the Jaguars but was let go when they opted to carry only two quarterbacks on their 53-man roster. This move is interesting for the Rams, who don't seem very confident in their current quarterback situation. Sean Mannion seemingly is firmly planted as the backup behind Jared Goff, but Allen will look to learn the offense in case injuries require him to take the field.
