Goff was diagnosed with a broken right thumb following Sunday's 20-9 loss to the Seahawks, Michael Silver and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network report.
Ian Rapoport adds that Goff also dislocated the thumb. While Goff was able to pop his thumb back in place and finish the game, the injury could be something that affects his availability for a Week 17 matchup with the Cardinals. According to Silver, Goff will at least require surgery on the thumb, though he may be able to play through the injury and delay a procedure until the offseason. The Rams would have to turn toJohn Wolford with a playoff berth on the line if Goff can't gain clearance for the regular-season finale.
