Goff completed five of eight pass attempts for 56 yards and an interception during Saturday's 21-19 loss to the Chargers. He also lost a fumble.
Goff played into the second quarter, and despite a healthy completion percentage, he posted a pedestrian 7.0 yards per attempt. He lost a fumble that was returned for a touchdown on the first series and threw an interception on a deep attempt to Sammy Watkins on the second, setting up a touchdown drive by the Chargers. Goff impressed last week against the Raiders, but any momentum he was building toward the regular season was slowed a bit by this performance. Regardless, he appears set to rest during Thursday's preseason finale against the Packers before starting Week 1 against the Colts.
