The Rams officially signed Jacobs on Saturday, Nick Hamilton of SiriusXM reports.
Jacobs' signing comes in the wake of Derion Kendrick's season-ending ACL tear and Darious Williams' hamstring strain. Jacobs practiced with the Rams on Saturday, per Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic, so he appears to be clear of the hamstring injury that caused him to finish last year on injured reserve. If Williams is unable to be ready for Week 1 of the regular season, Jacobs may need to step in to start.
