Washington and Toler agreed to a one-year contract Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Toler's tackle total each season has wobbled throughout his six-year career, but after recording at least one interception in each of his first five campaigns, he failed to pick off a pass in 2015. With Chris Culliver recovering from a torn ACL and MCL, Washington has brought Toler and Will Blackmon into the fold this offseason, likely to compete for the starting cornerback gig opposite Bashaud Breeland. As a result, Toler could return to IDP relevance with an impressive preseason.
