Hill signed a contract with Washington on Tuesday, Stephen Czarda of Redskins.com reports.

The move comes after the team moved tight end Niles Paul (shoulder) to injured reserve Tuesday. The defensive lineman was released by the Seahawks a little less than a month ago after reaching an injury settlement with the team. The former third-round pick from 2013 will expect to compete for reserve reps with Ziggy Hood and may even get an opportunity to start once he learns the playbook. Last season with the Seahawks, Hill recorded 24 tackles and one pass deflection in 10 games.
