The Jets waived Adams (illness) without an injury designation Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Adams ended the 2022 campaign on the reserve/non-football illness list, but he appears to be healthy heading into the summer. The 2017 fifth-round pick has appeared in just one NFL contest (2021 with Chicago) and failed to haul in his lone target across nine offensive snaps. He'll likely have to settle for a practice-squad gig in 2023 if he hopes to keep his NFL dreams alive.
