Saints' Trevor Siemian: Nearly completes comeback
Siemian completed 25 of 41 pass attempts for 249 yards with two touchdowns during Sunday's 27-25 loss to Atlanta.
Getting his first start of the season with Jameis Winston (knee) injured, Siemian had a quiet start to the game but nearly pulled the Saints out of an 18-point hole in a matter of minutes during the fourth quarter. In fact, the soon-to-be 30-year-old led a go-ahead touchdown drive with just over a minute left in regulation only for the Falcons to come back the other way with a game-winning field goal. While it's not certain that he will remain the starter over Taysom Hill going forward, Siemian attempted more passes than Winston did in any single game this year, and his matchups going forward will be more favorable than Atlanta, which entered the week ranked seventh in fewest yards allowed per pass attempt.
