Mathieu (heel) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
Mathieu had been dealing with the heel injury leading up to Week 2 against the Cowboys, but he was able to suit up for that contest after starting the week as a DNP. The fact that he started this week as a limited participant suggests that the 2013 third-round pick is progressing through the injury, and barring any setbacks, he should be good to go for Week 3 against the Eagles. Through the first two games of the season, Mathieu has accrued seven solo tackles, two passes defended, one interception, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
