The Giants cut Platzgummer on Tuesday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Platzgummer spent the preseason competing for a depth role in New York, but he wasn't able to stick to the initial 53-man roster. He spent the 2020 season on the Giants' practice squad and could be a candidate to resurface there again.
