Vannett (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Los Angeles, Liz Mathews of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
Unable to practice all week, Vannett will begin his career with a second consecutive absence. Once healthy, the third-round rookie will likely just serve as depth behind Jimmy Graham and Luke Willson, though he could get some snaps as a blocker.
