Seattle designated Wilson (finger) for return from injured reserve Monday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

The team released a statement earlier Monday from Wilson's surgeon, Dr. Steven Shin, who wrote that he has cleared the quarterback for a "full return to play without reservation," given the tremendous progress he's made since undergoing surgery Oct. 7 to repair a fracture-dislocation and extensor tendon rupture of his right middle finger. The Seahawks likely will wait until later in the week to officially activate Wilson after getting a chance to observe him in practice, but the 32-year-old signal-caller is on track to make his return to the starting lineup Sunday in Green Bay. Geno Smith presided over the Seattle offense while Wilson was recovering from surgery over the past four weeks, guiding the Seahawks to a 1-2 record while completing 70.5 percent of his passes for 7.3 yards per attempt and a 4:0 TD:INT.
