The Chiefs signed Buechele to the practice squad Wednesday, Howard Balzer of SI.com reports.
Buechele will serve as an emergency option at quarterback behind Patrick Mahomes and Chad Henne for the Chiefs. The undrafted rookie out of SMU logged an impressive 57:16 TD:INT ratio during his final two collegiate seasons.
