Brown (ankle) was waived with an injury settlement from the Panthers' injured reserve Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Brown reverted to Carolina's IR after being let go with an injury designation during the team's final roster cuts Aug. 31. The second-year running back will now be free to negotiate a contract elsewhere once he gets healthy this regular season.
