Kazee will be out for the remainder of the regular season after the NFL upheld his three-game suspension Wednesday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Kazee was handed the three-game ban after he flagged and ejected for an illegal hit to the head of Colts wideout Michael Pittman in this past Saturday's 30-13 loss to Indianapolis. Pittman left the game and was later placed in concussion protocol, and since Kazee had previously been fined five times this season for unnecessary roughness penalties, the league factored the safety's history of unsportsmanlike play into the decision to suspend him. Kazee will be eligible to return to action in the postseason, should the Steelers qualify.
