Benton will not return to Friday's preseason tilt with the Texans due to an eye injury, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
The injury does not look serious according to Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com. Still, Pittsburgh will unsurprisingly err on the side of caution for the exhibition contest. The nose tackle is expected to start in the trenches alongside Larry Ogunjobi and Cameron Heyward this season.
