Sims suffered an eye injury during pregame warmups ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Bills, Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
The extent of the injury remains unclear, but Sims wasn't in to start the game. James Pierre replaced Sims as the Steelers' kick returner and fumbled his first opportunity.
