Hoyer remains in the league's concussion protocol, but his post-concussion symptoms are subsiding, the Houston Chronicle reports.

Hoyer missed Sunday's win over the Colts after suffering his second concussion in a month-long timespan during Week 14. While veteran T.J. Yates started in Hoyer's absence Sunday, he suffered a season-ending torn ACL against the Colts, which forced recently-signed journeyman Brandon Weeden into the fray. Although Weeden ultimately pulled out the win, the Texans will certainly be hopeful that Hoyer's condition continues to improve ahead of Sunday's game against the Titans. Weeden will be prepared as Houston's starter for the time being, but should Hoyer clear league protocol, he would definitely reclaim his position immediately.
