Stroud isn't expected to play in Thursday's Hall of Fame Game against the Bears, Cole Thompson of the USA Today reports.
With the Texans not planning to play key starters in their preseason opener, Stroud's next chance to see exhibition action will come Aug. 9 against the Steelers. While the Texans haven't announced a starting quarterback for Thursday, Thompson notes that Davis Mills has been getting almost all the reps with Houston's second-team offense in camp.
