Hunter agreed Wednesday with the Texans on a one-year contract extension, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Hunter signed a two-year, $49 million deal with the Texans last offseason, so the extension will keep him on the books through 2026. In his first season with Houston, Hunter suited up for all 17 games during the regular season and both playoff contests, finishing with 53 tackles and 12.0 sacks. With the extension, Hunter will earn $35.6 million in new money and will get a $12.5 million raise for the 2025 season.
