Amendola (knee) doesn't appear on Wednesday's estimated injury report.
Amendola, who underwent an arthroscopic knee procedure Nov. 29, was activated from injured reserve Christmas Day, but he ended up on the inactive list a day later for Houston's win over the Chargers. The Texans may have just wanted to exercise some extra caution with the veteran slot man by holding him out for another game, but his absence from the injury report entirely for Week 17 puts him on track to play Sunday in San Francisco. The 36-year-old doesn't necessarily fit in with the Texans' rebuilding effort, so he may not be tasked with a large role over the team's final two games of the season.
