Driskel has been officially elevated to the Texans' active roster from the team's practice squad.
With Tyrod Taylor (hamstring) on IR and Deshaun Watson (not injury-related) set to be inactive, rookie QB Davis Mills is slated to start Thursday night's game against the Panthers. Meanwhile, Driskel will serve as the team's No. 2 signal-caller for the contest.
