Slye made his lone field-goal attempt and miss his only PAT during Thursday's 24-9 loss to the Panthers.

The Texans unsurprisingly struggled to move the ball with rookie third-rounder Davis Mills helming the offense, and Slye's only field-goal opportunity -- which he converted -- came from 53 yards during the fourth quarter. The 25-year-old is 4-for-5 on field goals and 7-for-8 on extra points through the first three games of the season, but Ka'imi Fairbairn (leg) is progressing in his recovery and is eligible to be activated from injured reserve, so the clock is ticking on Slye's time as Houston's kicker.
