Akins (ankle/concussion) didn't practice Thursday, Aaron Reiss of The Athletic reports.
Per Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, the tight end's concussion symptoms have subsided, but his high ankle sprain remains an issue. Akins will need to return to practice Friday in order to avoid missing a third straight game. In the event that he remains sidelined Sunday against the Packers, Darren Fells will continue to see added targets.
