The Texans designated Stewart (quadriceps) for return from their reserve/PUP list Wednesday.
He'll still have to miss at least the next two games, but the move opens a 21-day window during which Stewart can be activated before he would have to go back to the PUP list for the rest of the season. He was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, per the Texans' official site.
