Edwards was suspended four games without pay Monday for violating the NFL's substance of abuse policy, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Edwards has appeared in all six of the Texans' games this season, recording 15 total tackles, including 2.0 sacks, and defending one pass. The Florida State product will be eligible for reinstatement ahead of Houston's Week 11 matchup against the Cowboys on Nov. 18.
