Blankenship (concussion/hand) didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday.
Blankenship suffered a concussion in this past Sunday's win over Jacksonville and has also since been tagged with a hand injury. It's unclear how serious the latter issue is, but the veteran safety won't be eligible to return to game action until he clears the NFL's five-step concussion protocol. If Blankenship can't play Sunday versus the Giants, M.J. Stewart may be called upon to start.
