Savage, who was inactive Week 13 due to an infection in his elbow, is expected to be active for Week 14 against Indianapolis, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Savage has taken antibiotics for the infection and is doing better, according to Houston head coach Bill O'Brien, who added that he'll be better able to gauge Savage's availability Wednesday. The 26-year-old Savage is Houston's top backup at quarterback and is first in line should Brock Osweiler get injured or his level of play drop off to the point that O'Brien has to make a change.
