Taylor has been labeled day-to-day ahead of Thursday's clash against the Panthers, before which he'll only have two more chances to upgrade his practice activity. Deshaun Watson already has been ruled out as a candidate to play Thursday, meaning rookie third-round pick Davis Mills will be in line to draw his first NFL start if Taylor can't go. The Texans likely will elevate Jeff Driskel from the practice squad if Taylor isn't available.
