Howard is expected to miss out on Friday's preseason matchup against Pittsburgh on Friday with a minor knee injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Howard will miss Friday along a slew of Texans players, which should open up an opportunity for offensive lineman Cameron Erving, as right tackle Charlie Heck will also be out. Howard is primed to be a starter on the Texans' offensive line this season if his injury proves to be minor.
