Chestnut played one offensive snap and 17 on special teams in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Jets.
Chestnut played exclusively on special teams in Week 1 and saw a similar role in Week 2. He did take the field for his first offensive snap with Tyjae Spears (ankle) sidelined, and Chestnut could enter a Week 3 matchup against Green Bay as the primary backup to Tony Pollard.
