Mariota completed six of 20 passes for 88 yards, and added eight carries for 38 more in Sunday's 13-10 win over Denver.
While Mariota isn't the first quarterback to be held in check by Denver's vaunted secondary, it was surprising to see such ineffectiveness from him coming out of a bye. He did just enough to hold on for a win after racing out to a 13-0 lead, but had an eight-game multi-touchdown streak snapped. Given that he had thrown for over 200 yards in seven straight games coming in, it's safe to expect a stronger performance out of Mariota next week in Kansas City.
