Mariota completed 17-of-37 passes for 218 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions Sunday against Oakland. He added seven rushing yards on one carry.
Mariota's line outside the three touchdowns was very ugly, but the rookie's struggles are nothing new. He has topped 250 yards passing just once in his last six appearances, and also took a step back with his legs after topping 20 yards on the ground in each of the last two games. Mariota completed just six of the 20 passes he threw to wide receivers, and it's going to be hard to trust him until he demonstrates the ability to hit outside throws.
