Tennessee designated McMath (hip) to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
McMath, a 2021 sixth-round pick, has been sidelined all season while recovering from a significant hip injury suffered during the preseason. Because he's been sidelined for several months, McMath may require more than one week of practices before being ready for game action, so he may not be formally activated from IR ahead of this Sunday's game against Jacksonville. The Titans will have 21 days to evaluate McMath in practice before deciding whether to add him to the 53-man roster or keep him on IR for the rest of the season.
