The Seahawks signed Mabry to the practice squad Wednesday.
Mabry wasn't able to crack Seattle's initial 53-man roster in a tight end depth role at the end of training camp. The Seahawks' top two tight ends on the depth chart, Noah Fant and Pharaoh Brown, are both dealing with foot issues, but both are expected to be ready for Week 1 against the Broncos. If either of them was to not be able to suit up, however, Mabry would be a top candidate to be elevated to the active roster.
