Gillespie (undisclosed) was waived by the Chiefs on Tuesday with an injury designation.
Gillespie was working to make the team after last playing with Jacksonville in 2022. The Missouri product was hampered by a knee injury in 2023, but it's not clear if it's related to his current injury.
