Jackson (undisclosed) was waived by the Giants on Friday with an injury designation, Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post reports.
Although as of this past week he was New York's emergency third-string quarterback, Jackson will be sent to waivers. In the event he clears waivers, the 6-foot-7 tight end will revert to IR and miss the entire season unless an injury settlement is agreed upon.
