The Panthers signed Dodson to their practice squad Tuesday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
Dodson is headed to Carolina after being let go by Miami on Sunday. The 28-year-old racked up 129 tackles (72 solo), including 5.0 sacks, and an interception across 16 games with the Dolphins last season, and he can contribute on both defense and special teams if called up by the Panthers.
