The Browns waived/injured Herring (undisclosed) on Thursday.
Herring will now be placed on waivers, and if he goes unclaimed, will revert to the Browns' injured-reserve list for the entirety of the 2026 season. Herring's only path to seeing action this coming season will be if he reaches an injury settlement with the team.
