Butler (undisclosed) was released from injured reserve by the Giants with an injury settlement Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Butler missed all of camp with the injury, but his settlement will now allow him to play this season, as soon as he proves himself healthy and he can find a team to sign with.
