Jones projects to have a bigger role in the coming weeks with Jordan Mason (thumb) on short-term injured reserve, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

Jones impressed in Week 1 with a touchdown but only played 30 snaps, as Jordan Mason ate up a decent amount of reps as well. With Mason out for at least four weeks, Jones projects to lead the backfield while DeeJay Dallas, Demond Claiborne and Jerome Ford serve as depth options.
