Vikings' Kirk Cousins: Carves up Detroit secondary
Cousins completed 30 of 40 pass attempts for 340 yards and two touchdowns while losing a fumble in Sunday's 29-27 loss to the Lions.
Cousins led what appeared to be a game-winning drive near the end of the fourth quarter, but he was forced to helplessly watch Minnesota's defense cough up the lead as time expired. Despite the embarrassing loss to the no-longer win-less Lions, Cousins was able to continue his recent trend of premier play from the pocket. The 32-year-old is quietly stringing together one of his finest seasons as a pro, completing 69 percent of his passes for 3,353 yards and a sparkling 25:3 TD:INT ratio through 12 games. The Steelers will provide a stiffer test compared to the Lions from a defensive perspective, but Cousins remains a viable option in all formats heading in this week's Thursday Night Football matchup.
